BRIEF HISTORY:
This house built at the end of the 19th century has a rich and colorful history. The building once belonged to Icik Charif, but also at one point it housed a restaurant, where people of different cultural and religious backgrounds came to enjoy the food and share their ideas. Later – the first cinema “Oaza” in Molėtai was opened in this building.
CURRENT SITUATION:
Now the old building houses a pedagogical psychological service, and on its walls, a memorial plate is placed, recalling this building’s history and importance to the Molėtai Jewish community.
